GustedandGusted 77dbc35138 chore: add modernizer linter (#11936)
- Go has a suite of small linters that helps with modernizing Go code by using newer functions and catching small mistakes, https://pkg.go.dev/golang.org/x/tools/go/analysis/passes/modernize.
- Enable this linter in golangci-lint.
- There's also [`go fix`](https://go.dev/blog/gofix), which is not yet released as a linter in golangci-lint: https://github.com/golangci/golangci-lint/pull/6385

Andreas AhlenstorfandMathieu Fenniak b01278e534 feat: show workflow name for scheduled runs (#11770)
Previously, a scheduled run would appear like a run triggered by a push. That could be confusing, especially if a scheduled run was unrelated to that particular commit. Now, either the workflow's name (taken from the field `name:`) is displayed or the path to workflow file, matching the behaviour of `workflow_dispatch`.

As a side-effect, the description of all run types were improved. They are no longer pieced together from individual translations. `workflow_dispatch` also no longer misattributes commits to the user that triggered the workflow.

Resolves https://codeberg.org/forgejo/forgejo/issues/11688.

Andreas AhlenstorfandMathieu Fenniak af1eda733c feat(actions): make GITHUB_WORKFLOW_REF available (#10276)
Make the variable `GITHUB_WORKFLOW_REF` available in Forgejo Action workflows. It is the ref path to the workflow and looks like `testowner/testrepo/.forgejo/workflows/test-workflow.yaml@refs/heads/main` ([GitHub documentation](https://docs.github.com/en/actions/reference/workflows-and-actions/variables)). GitHub Actions like [gh-action-pypi-publish](https://github.com/pypa/gh-action-pypi-publish) rely on its presence. See https://code.forgejo.org/forgejo/forgejo-actions-feature-requests/issues/56 for additional details.

`GITHUB_WORKFLOW_REF` cannot be generated easily during an action run. Either the path to workflow file has to be hardcoded or inferred by replicating the logic Forgejo uses to determine it. That is further complicated by the fact that Forgejo supports multiple search paths, namely `.forgejo/workflows`, `.gitea/workflows`, and `.github/workflows`. It is also the reason that the workflow directory is now stored in the database alongside the name of the workflow file.

Partial implementation is required in Forgejo Runner, see https://code.forgejo.org/forgejo/runner/pulls/1197.

Example workflow:

```yaml
on:
  push:
  workflow_dispatch:
  schedule:
    - cron: "* * * * *"
jobs:
  test:
    runs-on: ubuntu-latest
    steps:
      - run: |
          echo "FORGEJO_WORKFLOW_REF=$FORGEJO_WORKFLOW_REF"
          echo "GITHUB_WORKFLOW_REF=$GITHUB_WORKFLOW_REF"
          echo "forgejo.workflow_ref=${{ forgejo.workflow_ref }}"
          echo "github.workflow_ref=${{ github.workflow_ref }}"
```

Release Notes

**Breaking change:** This release is a major version bump due to a system requirement change, requiring a git installation. This requirement is included in the OCI containers, but may require the installation of a supported package, or packaging changes from redistributors of Forgejo Runner. Access to a `git` binary is now required to access reusable actions and workflows, such as `use: action/checkout@v5` -- before this release, access was performed using an internal library that avoided an external dependency. 238ecfdeb8 fix: garbage collect lingering actions logs (#10009)
If, for any reason (e.g. server crash), a task is recorded as done in the database but the logs are still in the database instead of being in storage, they need to be collected.

The log_in_storage field is only set to true after the logs have been transfered to storage and can be relied upon to reflect which tasks have lingering logs.

A cron job collects lingering logs every day, 3000 at a time, sleeping one second between them. In normal circumstances there will be only a few of them, even on a large instance, and there is no need to collect them as quickly as possible.

When there are a lot of them for some reason, garbage collection must happen at a rate that is not too hard on storage I/O.

Earl Warren 3fa7ceeb76 chore(refactor): replace ifNeedApproval with trust management
What previously handled by ifNeedApproval is replaced with
two calls implemented in trust.go:

- getPullRequestCommitAndApproval
  when workflows are collected and before runs are generated
  from them, figure out if
  - they need approval
  - they should run from the base or the head
- setRunTrustForPullRequest
  when a pull request run is created from a detected workflow,
  set the information it will need for trust management

Jason SongandEarl Warren a627b885c7 Support compression for Actions logs (#31761)
Support compression for Actions logs to save storage space and
bandwidth. Inspired by
https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/issues/24256#issuecomment-1521153015

The biggest challenge is that the compression format should support
[seekable](https://github.com/facebook/zstd/blob/dev/contrib/seekable_format/zstd_seekable_compression_format.md).
So when users are viewing a part of the log lines, Gitea doesn't need to
download the whole compressed file and decompress it.

That means gzip cannot help here. And I did research, there aren't too
many choices, like bgzip and xz, but I think zstd is the most popular
one. It has an implementation in Golang with
[zstd](https://github.com/klauspost/compress/tree/master/zstd) and
[zstd-seekable-format-go](https://github.com/SaveTheRbtz/zstd-seekable-format-go),
and what is better is that it has good compatibility: a seekable format
zstd file can be read by a regular zstd reader.

This PR introduces a new package `zstd` to combine and wrap the two
packages, to provide a unified and easy-to-use API.

And a new setting `LOG_COMPRESSION` is added to the config, although I
don't see any reason why not to use compression, I think's it's a good
idea to keep the default with `none` to be consistent with old versions.

`LOG_COMPRESSION` takes effect for only new log files, it adds `.zst` as
an extension to the file name, so Gitea can determine if it needs
decompression according to the file name when reading. Old files will
keep the format since it's not worth converting them, as they will be
cleared after #31735.

Mai-LapystandEarl Warren 51735c415b Add support for workflow_dispatch (#3334)
Closes #2797

I'm aware of https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/pull/28163 exists, but since I had it laying around on my drive and collecting dust, I might as well open a PR for it if anyone wants the feature a bit sooner than waiting for upstream to release it or to be a forgejo "native" implementation.

This PR Contains:
- Support for the `workflow_dispatch` trigger
- Inputs: boolean, string, number, choice

Things still to be done:
- [x] API Endpoint `/api/v1/<org>/<repo>/actions/workflows/<workflow id>/dispatches`
- ~~Fixing some UI bugs I had no time figuring out, like why dropdown/choice inputs's menu's behave weirdly~~ Unrelated visual bug with dropdowns inside dropdowns
- [x] Fix bug where opening the branch selection submits the form
- [x] Limit on inputs to render/process

Things not in this PR:
- Inputs: environment (First need support for environments in forgejo)

Things needed to test this:
- A patch for https://code.forgejo.org/forgejo/runner to actually consider the inputs inside the workflow.
  ~~One possible patch can be seen here: https://code.forgejo.org/Mai-Lapyst/runner/src/branch/support-workflow-inputs~~
  [PR](https://code.forgejo.org/forgejo/runner/pulls/199)

## Testing

- Checkout PR
- Setup new development runner with [this PR](https://code.forgejo.org/forgejo/runner/pulls/199)
- Create a repo with a workflow (see below)
- Go to the actions tab, select the workflow and see the notice as in the screenshot above
- Use the button + dropdown to run the workflow
  - Try also running it via the api using the `` endpoint
- ...
- Profit!

Zettat123andEarl Warren ff5df5fc97 Improve the issue_comment workflow trigger event (#29277)
Fix #29175
Replace #29207

This PR makes some improvements to the `issue_comment` workflow trigger
event.

1. Fix the bug that pull requests cannot trigger `issue_comment`
workflows
2. Previously the `issue_comment` event only supported the `created`
activity type. This PR adds support for the missing `edited` and
`deleted` activity types.
3. Some events (including `issue_comment`, `issues`, etc. ) only trigger
workflows that belong to the workflow file on the default branch. This
PR introduces the `IsDefaultBranchWorkflow` function to check for these
events.

Zettat123andGitHub 9a8af92577 Fix the bug when getting files changed for pull_request_target event (#26320)
Follow #25229

Copy from
https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/pull/26290#issuecomment-1663135186

The bug is that we cannot get changed files for the
`pull_request_target` event. This event runs in the context of the base
branch, so we won't get any changes if we call
`GetFilesChangedSinceCommit` with `PullRequest.Base.Ref`.

Zettat123andGitHub a42a838843 Fix ref for workflows triggered by pull_request_target (#25743)
Follow #25229

At present, when the trigger event is `pull_request_target`, the `ref`
and `sha` of `ActionRun` are set according to the base branch of the
pull request. This makes it impossible for us to find the head branch of
the `ActionRun` directly. In this PR, the `ref` and `sha` will always be
set to the head branch and they will be changed to the base branch when
generating the task context.

7586b5815a Fix activity type match in matchPullRequestEvent (#25746)
Fix #25736
Caused by #24048

Right now we only check the activity type for `pull_request` event when
`types` is specified or there are no `types` and filter. If a workflow
only specifies filters but no `types` like this:
```
on:
  pull_request:
    branches: [main]
```
the workflow will be triggered even if the activity type is not one of
`[opened, reopened, sync]`. We need to check the activity type in this
case.

6daf21c9b7 Fix content holes in Actions task logs file (#25560)
Fix #25451.

Bugfixes:
- When stopping the zombie or endless tasks, set `LogInStorage` to true
after transferring the file to storage. It was missing, it could write
to a nonexistent file in DBFS because `LogInStorage` was false.
- Always update `ActionTask.Updated` when there's a new state reported
by the runner, even if there's no change. This is to avoid the task
being judged as a zombie task.

Enhancement:
- Support `Stat()` for DBFS file.
- `WriteLogs` refuses to write if it could result in content holes.

Fix #25088

This PR adds the support for
[`pull_request_target`](https://docs.github.com/en/actions/using-workflows/events-that-trigger-workflows#pull_request_target)
workflow trigger. `pull_request_target` is similar to `pull_request`,
but the workflow triggered by the `pull_request_target` event runs in
the context of the base branch of the pull request rather than the head
branch. Since the workflow from the base is considered trusted, it can
access the secrets and doesn't need approvals to run.

f9cfd6ce5b Use the type RefName for all the needed places and fix pull mirror sync bugs (#24634)
This PR replaces all string refName as a type `git.RefName` to make the
code more maintainable.

Fix #15367
Replaces #23070
It also fixed a bug that tags are not sync because `git remote --prune
origin` will not remove local tags if remote removed.

We in fact should use `git fetch --prune --tags origin` but not `git
remote update origin` to do the sync.

Some answer from ChatGPT as ref.

> If the git fetch --prune --tags command is not working as expected,
there could be a few reasons why. Here are a few things to check:
>
>Make sure that you have the latest version of Git installed on your
system. You can check the version by running git --version in your
terminal. If you have an outdated version, try updating Git and see if
that resolves the issue.
>
>Check that your Git repository is properly configured to track the
remote repository's tags. You can check this by running git config
--get-all remote.origin.fetch and verifying that it includes
+refs/tags/*:refs/tags/*. If it does not, you can add it by running git
config --add remote.origin.fetch "+refs/tags/*:refs/tags/*".
>
>Verify that the tags you are trying to prune actually exist on the
remote repository. You can do this by running git ls-remote --tags
origin to list all the tags on the remote repository.
>
>Check if any local tags have been created that match the names of tags
on the remote repository. If so, these local tags may be preventing the
git fetch --prune --tags command from working properly. You can delete
local tags using the git tag -d command.
